Caesars Interactive Entertainment entered the Indiana sports betting market in May 2020 as the state’s seventh mobile sportsbook provider. The Caesars Indiana sportsbook app operates off a license held by the Horseshoe Hammond, which itself is owned by Caesars Entertainment Corporation.

The Caesars Indiana app is available to customers 21 or older and located within state lines. Customers do not need to be Indiana residents – and can in fact sign up from anywhere – but must be located within state lines in order to place wagers.

Caesars is a fully licensed and legal online sportsbook for patrons physically located in New Jersey. Caesars launched online sports betting on September 6th, 2018, and takes real money online bets through its own online gaming license. Caesars first took its sportsbook online in Nevada in 2017 with a Miomni-powered online app. Caesars was late getting into the online sports wagering game in NV, relatively speaking, as other casinos’ sportsbooks had been doing so for several years. However, when a US Supreme Court ruling in May 2018 opened the door to other states to offer sports betting, Caesars.

Caesars Sportsbook came to the Hoosier State with roughly three years of online sports betting experience following launches in Nevada (2017), New Jersey (2018) and Pennsylvania (2019). As such, the Caesars Indiana app launched with full functionality from the beginning. Customers can visit the Caesars Sportsbook website or download the iOS/Android app to bet on a wide range of professional and college sports.

Caesars Sportsbook

Caesars Indiana Sportsbook launched in May 2020 in partnership with Horseshoe Hammond after receiving the approval of the Indiana Gaming Commission. Customers can bet on professional and college sports, claim a welcome bonus and place in-game wagers during most major games. A loyalty program that rewards both in-person and online play further makes Caesars Sportsbook an attractive choice for frequent visitors to Horseshoe Hammond and Caesars Southern Indiana.

Caesars Indiana Bonuses

Caesars Indiana sportsbook offers a welcome bonus for new customers plus regular promotions that are announced via e-mail.

Registration Offer: Up to $300 Free Bet

Caesars Online Sportsbook Pa

All new customers who sign up for an account, make a deposit and place a wager qualify for a free bet of equal size worth up to $300.

For example, a customer who signs up and places a first a first wager of $200 will be rewarded with a free bet worth $200 that may be used to place additional wagers.

Important: The first bet must have odds of -200 or greater to qualify for the free bet bonus. This means wagers placed at odds of -200, -150, +110 and +300 would all qualify while a wager placed at odds of -250 would not.

Upon receiving the free bet, customers may use it to place additional wagers at odds of -200 or greater. The free bet itself cannot be cashed out and is not returned as a part of any winnings, but anything won with the free bet may be withdrawn as normal.

Caesars Rewards Program

Caesars Entertainment runs an all-encompassing reward program that extends across its land-based properties around the world and online gaming brands, including Caesars Indiana Sportsbook.

Customers can register at caesars.com/myrewards and from that point on, all wagers placed online earn tier points and reward points. Tier points move players up through the six-tiered rewards system that unlocks increasingly valuable rewards starting with discounted hotel stays and moving up from there to include perks such as two free nights at Caesars Bluewaters Dubai.

Meanwhile, customers may also redeem rewards credits for perks of their choice – including free play at Caesars casinos, entry to WSOP events, dining credits, spa credits, show tickets, shopping credits and more.

Caesars Indiana Mobile Betting App

Desktop, smartphone and tablet users can bet online with Caesars Sportsbook at in.caesarsonline.com or through dedicated mobile apps for iOS and Android devices.

Note for iPhone/iPad Users: Multiple Caesars Sportsbook apps are listed in the App Store and each is specific to a certain state. Search for “Caesars Indiana Sportsbook” to find the correct version or point your mobile browser to in.caesarsonline.com for a download link.

Note for Android Users: Google does not list gambling and sports betting apps in the Play Store so you must point your mobile browser to in.caesarsonline.com to download the app directly. You may also need to allow installations from unknown sources.

Caesars Entertainment is partnered with Vegas-based Scientific Games on digital sports betting and online gaming in multiple states. The two renewed their partnership in mid-2020 following successful launches in NJ, Pennsylvania and Indiana.

When compared to other mobile apps, Caesars Indiana Sportsbook ranks above average in terms of usability and responsiveness. While it is common for other apps to hang for a second when switching between sports or menu items, the Caesars app responds to user input instantly.

Users should find the mobile app easy to navigate as it is organized in a straightforward manner. Visitors are greeted with a list of popular wagers upon logging in and can use a navigation menu along the bottom of the screen to view all sports, visit the in-play betting area and to see trending (popular) bets.

Tapping the odds on any wager adds that bet to the betting slip, which maintains a running list of all wagers that have been selected. Users can then tap the bet slip icon in the corner of the screen to view all wagers, adjust bet sizes and to combine them into parlays if desired. The betting slip always displays how much money is about to be risked and how much can be won so users can confirm their total risk vs. reward prior to confirming each wager.

Betting with the Caesars Sportsbook Website

Mobile and desktop users can visit in.caesarsonline.com to place wagers online through the responsive website that automatically resizes itself to fit all screen sizes with no download needed.

The Caesars desktop sportsbook looks and functions much like the mobile app but with much more room to view open wagers and see all available markets for each game. As users select wagers, a betting slip located on the right side of the screen is updated with a full list of all pending wagers. There, users can input amounts to wager, create parlays, remove wagers and confirm bets.

One area in which Caesars Online comes up short compared to the competition is a lack of stats or other handicapping tools. While other Indiana sportsbooks provide head-to-head matchup stats (such as how each team has fared against one another in previous matchups and scoring trends), Caesars Online offers no such functionality.

Types of Wagers Offered

Caesars Sportsbook tends to focus most of its attention on the major US sports and the most common types of wagers. Coverage of international sports includes soccer, which is further broken down into markets for MLS, Englad, Italy and Spain.

Although Caesars Sportsbook has offered online betting in the US since 2017, market depth is still lacking significantly relative to the competition. While it is not uncommon for competing sportsbooks to offer 100 or even 200+ wagers for a single event, Caesars Sportsbook sticks primarily to the major types of bets such as moneylines, spreads, totals and a smattering of props.

The major types of wagers offered at Caesars Indiana include:

  • Moneylines
  • Point spreads
  • Totals
  • Propositions
  • Parlays
  • Futures

Sports Covered

The Indiana Gaming Commission’s approved events catalog allows operators to accept wagers on a large variety of sports leagues and events, but Caesars Online has declined to take full advantage to date with coverage mostly limited to major US sports.

The current list of sports covered includes:

  • Baseball
  • Basketball
  • Boxing
  • Football
  • Golf
  • Hockey
  • Mixed Martial Arts
  • Motor Racing
  • Soccer
  • Tennis

Caesars Sportsbook In-Play Betting

Caesars Indiana offers in-play betting markets throughout the game for most major sports events, including all the major US pro sports and many college games.

Coverage is adequate at the macro level but drilling down to the micro level once again reveals a lack of market depth. Most in-play events include just a handful of wagering options, particularly full-time and half-time outcomes, plus the occasional prop.

Additionally, a lack of live stats and other real time information further dampen the experience relative to other sportsbooks. The Caesars in-play betting experience may prove useful for hedging pre-game wagers or taking the occasional stab at an in-game market, but other Indiana sportsbooks offer a more complete in-play betting experience.

Caesars Indiana Deposit Methods

Page 23 of Indiana’s sports betting regulations permit licensed betting sites to accept a full range of deposit options. Currently, Caesars Indiana allows customers to fund their accounts via the following methods.

Credit and Debit Card

Customers may fund their Caesars Indiana accounts with Visa, Mastercard and Discover.

Caesars

ACH eCheck (VIP Preferred)

Customers may enroll in VIP Preferred through the Caesars Sportsbook cashier to add their driver’s license info and bank account numbers. Once complete, customers may send money straight from their bank account to their sportsbook account.

Caesars Online Play+ Card

The Caesars Online Play+ Card is a prepaid debit card that allows customers to make instant online deposits and receive cashouts. After registering and making a deposit, Caesars will mail a physical debit card to the user’s registered address. That card can be used to make ATM withdrawals or purchases wherever Discover is accepted.

Online Bill Pay Deposit

The online bill pay method allows customers to use their existing online banking credentials to authorize a direct bank transfer from their bank account to their sportsbook account. Customers simply choose this method, select an amount to deposit and then login using their existing online banking info to authorize the transfer.

Online bill pay is only compatible with the following banks: Bank of America, BB&T, Chase, HSBC Bank USA, ING Direct, PNC, Regions, SunTrust, TD Bank, U.S. Bank, Capital One 360 and New York Community Bank.

PayPal

Caesars Online accepts PayPal deposits.

Note: Only personal PayPal accounts may deposit (business accounts are not accepted) and the PayPal account must be linked to an active bank account. PayPal does not allow users to make deposits to online betting operators using a linked credit or debit card.

Responsible Gaming Tools

Section 3 of Indiana’s sports betting regulations require operators to provide several responsible gaming tools, including the ability to set limits for deposits, wagers and time spent logged in.

To that end, Caesars Indiana allows customers to easily set the following limits from within the account management area after logging in.

  • Spend limit: Set the maximum amount that may be wagered on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.
  • Deposit limit: Set the maximum amount that may be deposited on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.
  • Session limit: Set the amount of time the user may be logged in on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.
  • Cooling Off Period: Prevent access to the account for anywhere from 3 days to 365 days.
  • Self-Exclusion: Customers may self-exclude from all Indiana betting sites from within their Caesars Online accounts. Note that self-exclusion will also be extended to all Caesars Entertainment online gambling brands and properties.

Via a partnership with Harrah’s Philly, Caesars online sportsbook launches in Pennsylvania

One name you have been waiting for in Pennsylvania is finally live in the state. Caesars Online Sportsbook is live and taking bets as of Tuesday, March 10 at 3 PM EST. It is a soft launch centered around testing as required by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control board. Caesars Online Sportsbook is partnered with Harrah’s Philadelphia and with iGaming partner Scientific Games and is live on desktops and Android devices. The Apple iOS app will be coming next, but is not currently live. Caesars also will be bringing their online casino in due time, and hopefully online poker to follow.

Caesars Online Sportsbook App

Caesars PA, via Harrah’s Philadelphia was supposed to launch in the fall of 2019. But like many others, initial timelines have not been gospel. Harrah’s Philadelphia’s retail location inside the casino has been open since January 2019. Caesars Online Sportsbook PA will be the ninth PA sportsbook app available. Caesars Sportsbook offers a full access sportsbook with various selections of sports, betting types, in-play betting, and more. This is just in time for March Madness, which is certainly one of the most popular times of the year for sports betting. With Scientific Games being the iGaming partner for Caesars, PA sports bettors will gain another set of odds to shop with. Better odds means a higher likelihood of profit long-term. Users will be able to use the application on Android and desktops right away, with an iOS app coming soon. If testing goes as planned, the sportsbook will launch to everyone in PA on Friday, March 13th.

Harrah’s Philadelphia Casino and Racetrack General Manager Chris Albrecht is quoted: “Harrah’s Philadelphia Casino and Racetrack opened our sportsbook, The Book, in January 2019, and since then, have welcomed an incredible number of new and experienced sports bettors into our establishment. With the addition of mobile sports betting, we look forward to more guests playing with us on property and all-around Pennsylvania.”

Caesars now offers online and/or retails sports betting options in Indiana, Iowa, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, and Mississippi, in addition to Pennsylvania.

Online Casino and Poker Up Next

Given the size and prestige of Caesars Casino and Sportsbook, now an Eldorado Resorts company, expect an online casino to be the next release in Pennsylvania some time in the spring. Executive VP of Gaming and Interactive for Caesars Entertainment Christian Stuart explains:

“The online sports betting launch in Pennsylvania achieves another milestone in our strategy to offer Caesars branded mobile gaming products equipped with the latest technology and superior customer service that customers trust, across the most populous states in the U.S. Caesars mobile products are fully integrated into the industry-leading Caesars Rewards loyalty program, allowing customers to earn and then redeem points seamlessly across our network of sports, entertainment, hospitality and gaming assets worldwide.”

Fully expect to see “Caesars Online Casino” and online poker to be the next set of the “Caesars branded mobile gaming products” that Stuart speaks of. Caesars has always been about customer loyalty given their loyalty programs, but to make some serious noise in Pennsylvania they will certainly need to improve their application and online offerings to compete with the top PA sportsbooks such as DraftKings Sportsbook and FanDuel Sportsbook.
